Cure CLCN4 is inviting applications from young photographers, science students, early-career creatives, and science communicators to take part in “Future Through the Lens”, a new photography and storytelling initiative at the “Cure CLCN4 Scientific Conference 2026”, kindly sponsored by Engenica.
This initiative is designed to help capture the people, moments, conversations, and atmosphere of the conference through thoughtful visual storytelling. We are looking for two selected photographers to document the event across two days and help us create meaningful visual content that can support future awareness, communications, and community engagement.
About the opportunity
The Cure CLCN4 Scientific Conference brings together researchers, clinicians, families, and members of the wider CLCN4 community. We want to capture the spirit of the event in a sensitive, creative, and respectful way.
Two selected participants will be invited to attend the conference and photograph key moments across the two days.
Each selected participant will receive a £150 participation award.
After the conference, each photographer will submit their top three images as their “Conference Storytelling Collection” Cure CLCN4 will review and approve the shortlisted images before they are shared publicly. An online vote will then be held to select the winning collection, with the winner receiving an additional £200 prize.
Selected photographers will also be asked to submit a wider collection of usable images for Cure CLCN4’s internal review and potential future use in communications, awareness activity, social media, fundraising, and event materials.
