Research & Communications Intern (remote, paid)
Cure CLCN4 is looking for a driven and talented individual to join our small team as an Outreach and Communications Intern. This remote internship offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our efforts in raising awareness, supporting families, and accelerating research into CLCN4-related condition. The internship is ideal for someone with a science background who is passionate about health communication, rare diseases, and patient advocacy.
The role
Under the supervision of the Research and Communications Manager, the successful applicant will support the charity’s communications and outreach efforts, including:
- Helping to plan and produce content for the charity’s communications channels (social media, newsletter, website).
- Supporting outreach to the CLCN4 community, including families, clinicians, researchers, and potential partners.
- Assisting with the organisation of outreach events, including our annual scientific meeting, family meetings, and community campaigns.
- Supporting the development of materials for advocacy and fundraising.
- Contributing to the charity’s communication strategy and growth of its digital presence.
- Translating or adapting content for different audiences or languages (if applicable).

What we are looking for

A background in Biology, Medicine, or a related scientific field (ideally 2nd year undergraduate or above).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

A passion for improving the lives of those affected by rare conditions.

Strong organisational and IT skills.

Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.

Fluency in additional languages (particularly Italian, French, or Portuguese) is an advantage.

A commitment to a one-year internship.
